TEFAQ Writing Rules
Core rules
- follow the template closely
- reuse phrase blocks when useful
- keep language clear and exam-oriented
- prefer present tense unless the exercise requires something else
- keep arguments simple and easy to control
Mandatory elements in strict mode
- minimum 200 words
- formal letter format
- at least 2 arguments
- 1 Canada-style statistic/example
- 1 “il ne faut pas oublier que…” sentence
- 1 “ce qui renforce l’idée…” sentence
- 1 concession / refutation block
Correction focus
When reviewing your draft, check:
- articles and plurals
- masculine/feminine agreement
- verb endings
- fixed formal expressions
- capitalization after punctuation
- natural wording
